| Wicked Wicket |
Thursday night my husband and boys were home playing croquet in the yard. My 14 month old Brock somehow managed to pull a wicket out of the ground, took a few steps with it, and promptly impaled it into his eye. Seriously.
My husband flew the truck to the ER. I'm not sure who was screaming louder, Brock in pain, blood streaming down his face, Nash in fear, or Dad in agony.
On the way to the ER, all we could think of is if our son would be blind.
In short, the wicked wicket narrowly missed Brock's eye and landed in the tissue beneath. Praise God. We've never held our boys so close.
We got a little glimpse of heaven's intervention, and I'm wishing you the same...and the power to see them. An angel to bump wickets and a healing touch. May you hold your babies closer and be THANKFUL for what you DO have.

| Weeding Your Life |
 |
Disorganization is like weeds. It's so tempting to do a haphazard job of organizing as we speed through life, just like we yank the tops off weeds in our yard as we are hurrying through weeding. We shortcut the process thinking it will save us time.
But good organizing takes time. We have to figure out what caused our disorganization in the first place instead of just tossing bins and baskets or a "tip or trick" at the problem. Understanding how we got here is the only way to pull the problem out by the root.
Good organizing also is an ongoing process. You don't just do it once and "arrive." It's a lifestyle of keeping the soil of your life decluttered of invaders and available for fruitfulness.
What can you do today to weed the soil of your life? |
