| The Simplify Sale Rocked! |
It has been a busy week and a half since our first Simplify Sale on July 25th!
We had overwhelming success with our newest business venture! Over 500 people attended, with 40 participant stations, live band, yummy BBQ, and a gloriously sunny day. The snowcones took the edge off the sizzle.
Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue fire men and women brought two engines and shared the shiny trucks with kids and adults alike.
Station vendors sold their wares - everything from cowboy boots to ceramic roosters to jewelry to holiday decor to shabby chic goodies. I was impressed at the variety of items at the Sale and BARGAINS I found. (I personally bought 5 things....including a fab dish dryer and chair!)
KPTV Channel 12 was there covering the story....since the Simplify Sale is such a unique new way that people can lighten up and clear out the clutter.
I can't wait for our next Sale August 22nd!

| Weeding Your Life |
 |
Disorganization is like weeds. It's so tempting to do a haphazard job of organizing as we speed through life, just like we yank the tops off weeds in our yard as we are hurrying through weeding. We shortcut the process thinking it will save us time.
But good organizing takes time. We have to figure out what caused our disorganization in the first place instead of just tossing bins and baskets or a "tip or trick" at the problem. Understanding how we got here is the only way to pull the problem out by the root.
Good organizing also is an ongoing process. You don't just do it once and "arrive." It's a lifestyle of keeping the soil of your life decluttered of invaders and available for fruitfulness.
What can you do today to weed the soil of your life? |
