Finally FB

Thanks, Stacey Wilson. For telling me I can "poach" your friends on Facebook. Thanks for taking pity on my pathetic 30-something FB fear. Or is it malaise?

I think I figured out how to add a network. I've tried 10 times to add who I am married to and FB won't record it.  Weird. For the record, I'm married to Trevor Norris, who is my best friend, a brilliantly talented craftsman and pilot, and a defiantly disorganized man! God has a funny sense of humor.

Not sure why I've resisted FB so long...perhaps I've been too busy doing things to stop and tell people what I'm doing. I need to get over the time commitment obstacle. I can do this! I am a college graduate! With honors! (Whatever that means.) I run a small business in the midst of an economic crisis and I am my own economic stimulus. I am a woman for heaven's sake. What can't we do?

Hi Vicki! I saw your piece in the Wilson newsletter and thought I would check in on you. It appears you have created a wonderful niche with your business. I am so impressed with all you have done. Congrats on the great guy and the two kids! I have been a science teacher for the last 10 years in Portland, Seattle, and currently just relocated to Bend. Life is good, I have a great yellow lab (Jackson) and am currently single looking for the perfect man. I hope this finds you healthy, happy and surviving the economic downturn. Take care, Kris

Weeding Your Life
Disorganization is like weeds. It's so tempting to do a haphazard job of organizing as we speed through life, just like we yank the tops off weeds in our yard as we are hurrying through weeding. We shortcut the process thinking it will save us time.

But good organizing takes time. We have to figure out what caused our disorganization in the first place instead of just tossing bins and baskets or a "tip or trick" at the problem. Understanding how we got here is the only way to pull the problem out by the root.

Good organizing also is an ongoing process. You don't just do it once and "arrive." It's a lifestyle of keeping the soil of your life decluttered of invaders and available for fruitfulness.

What can you do today to weed the soil of your life?
